As managing editor of CNNMoney, Alexander (Lex) Haris oversees the site, which draws nearly 30 million unique visitors a month. Haris joined CNNMoney for the site’s launch in 2001, serving as deputy managing editor. He was named managing editor in December 2007.

Haris joined Time Warner in December 1999, as a senior editor for MONEY magazine’s website. Prior to his work at MONEY, Lex worked at Individual Investor magazine from January 1994 through December 1999, ultimately serving as executive editor.

Haris holds an M.A. from Fordham University in International Political Economy and Development. He received his B.A. from Lake Forest College in 1992. He was born and raised in Manhattan.
